The Pelicans are not in a rush to trade Anthony Davis while the Lakers are planning to make an aggressive offer in order to acquire the All-Star forward before the February 7th trade deadline.
This makes sense for the Pelicans as they operate with the understanding that the Lakers' best deadline offer could still be available to them in the offseason. And while New Orleans prefers to wait when the Celtics can make an offer as well in the upcoming summer, things could change rapidly in the event that Anthony Davis’s camp validates Los Angeles as their preferred destination. Stay tuned ladies and gentlemen, the AD soap opera is just getting started and there are many more episodes to follow.
