The Rockets have reengaged the Wolves in Jimmy Butler trade discussions, reportedly offering four first-round picks.
That's the most first-round picks a team can trade, and the Rockets would obviously have eyes on re-signing Butler to a long-term extension. That's an incredibly steep price to pay but Minnesota would be able to use those picks in future deals to supplement their core, even if there are some protections. While discussions on the players involved remain ongoing, it sounds like the Rockets have stepped up as a frontrunner as the Wolves continue to listen on all Butler proposals.
