• Jerry Stackhouse
    Team, Toronto Raptors

Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press is reporting that the Pistons will interview with Raptors assistant Nick Nurse, Celtics assistant Jim Larranaga and Spurs assistant Ime Udoka for their head coaching position while they have ruled out hiring Raptors 905 coach Jerry Stackhouse.

Stackhouse is a rising star on the coaching market but his intensity and personality won't be a fit for everyone, and it looks like the Pistons are going in a different direction. His time is coming, as Stack has done an excellent job in his two years at the helm in the G-League, leading to two Finals appearances and one victory while developing a handful of youngsters that have made the jump to the next level. Nurse and Stackhouse are leading candidates for the job in Toronto while Larranaga and Udoka have gotten plenty of traction in this hiring cycle. Detroit is expected to make their choice sometime in the next couple of weeks.
