Tom Thibodeau realized that the Wolves couldn't win amidst the dysfunction caused by Jimmy Butler and decided that the Wolves wouldn't play another game with him after Friday's loss to the Kings.
Shams Charania reported that Butler almost sat out last night as the deal took shape. It's a headache that's finally gone for the Wolves, and we're hoping that this can relieve a ton of pressure for Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. The Wolves added some quality players but neither Robert Covington nor Dario Saric is a true go-to scorer, so that burden now falls on Minnesota's incumbent youngsters. They should be seeing more shots headed their way.
