Per ESPN's Marc J. Spears, Will Barton (hip/core strain) will have surgery on Tuesday and is expected to miss 5-to-6 weeks.
Spears also tied the injury to the adductor muscle, which is more specific than what the team has been saying. It's not terrible considering how brutal the injury looked and that Barton said he felt a pop in his hip when it happened. It's a short enough timeline that you should try and hold onto Barton unless you absolutely need immediate production, though some owners with shallow benches will have to do what they have to do. Torrey Craig will continue to start in Barton's absence, and Juancho Hernangomez and Trey Lyles will also pick up the slack. Lyles is the highest-upside play of the three but the value here will be dictated by the minutes.
