According to Ian Begley of ESPN, opposing execs believe the Wolves are considering using #7 to re-engage the Bulls in a trade for Jimmy Butler.
Butler is a wanted man nowadays with rumors swirling sending him to the Cavs, Wolves and Suns. Coach Thibs would love to get his hands on Jimmy Buckets to help speed up the Wolves timeline to return to respectability. The #7 pick is a start but the Wolves would likely need to include another young player at the minimum to interest the Bulls. Zach Lavine is likely to be a part of the offer though his ACL injury has put a damper on his value. Ricky Rubio is also a possibility to be included as his name keeps popping up in trade rumors with Kris Dunn waiting in the wings. Keep an eye on this one as the Wolves are one of the few teams with a lottery pick and interesting young pieces to make a deal worthwhile for the Bulls.
