They can only offer Thornton the veteran’s minimum, but the market is so thin for him that it may be enticing enough to sign the dotted line (if offered). Thornton is now in his thirties and his days in the NBA may be dwindling, so an opportunity here could be appealing. At the very least, he could ink a training camp deal and go from there. Regardless of what happens, Thornton has no fantasy value.
