Ricky Rubio logged just 21 foul-plagued minutes in Tuesday’s 116-91 loss to the Spurs on Tuesday, scoring two points on 1-of-5 shooting with four rebounds and three assists.
Rubio got the worst of it among his starting teammates on Tuesday, followed by Gorgui Dieng with four points on 1-of-7 shooting, four rebounds and a healthy two steals and two blocks. Karl-Anthony Towns survived with 19 points, nine rebounds and one assist but had no money counting stats, and Zach LaVine hit 7-of-10 shots (including a three) for 15 points but only had two boards and three assists to go with it. Andrew Wiggins scored 23 points on 21 shots (making nine) with eight rebounds, one steal, one three and five turnovers in the loss. In related news, the Spurs can do this to a young team.
