Ricky Rubio finally had a great game with 16 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, two threes, a steal, a block and one turnover in Saturday’s win over the Cavs.
Rubio also shot 6-of-12 from the field and this was a gem any way you look at it. It was also much-needed for him, as this season has been pretty tough to bear for fantasy owners who invested a mid-round pick in the scuffling guard. Rubio is still averaging just 4.8 assists on the year but is now up to 5.8 per game over his last five, and in a perfect world he’s about to go on a tear similar to the one that raised his stock so high down the stretch last year. It was a great night from Rubio, but we’ll need to see some more nice games strung together before declaring him all the way back. He’s still a buy low player.
