Andre Roberson‘s terrific defensive showing on Christmas included four steals and two blocks, including a swat of James Harden‘s potential game-tying triple, to go with five rebounds and four assists.
Roberson dislocated a finger in the first quarter but returned after having it taped, and the Thunder are thankful that he toughed it out. While he’s a complete afterthought on offense, he’s going to get plenty of run against the league’s elite scorers and made the biggest play of the night in this one. Even more, he beat everyone down the floor and iced the game with a layup following his big block. Roberson hadn’t posted a single defensive stat in his last two games so it was nice to see him get back on track. They make up all of his value, and his woeful shooting from the field and stripe alike leave him as deep league fodder unless you’re absolutely dying for steals or sendbacks.
