Robert Covington only records one defensive counter on Friday

Robert Covington chipped in a modest line on Friday with eight points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Covington disappointed on the defensive front again on Friday with only one steal and a lackluster 0-for-4 showing from deep. If you drafted Covington, hold steady. He's likely just knocking off some rest after a knee injury forced him to miss half of last season.

Jae Crowder

Jae Crowder bounced back on Wednesday and hit four threes to end with 12 points (4-of-8 FG), two rebounds and two blocks in Game 1.

Crowder's regression was a big storyline in the Eastern Conference Finals, but he finally managed to get his shots to drop tonight. A handful of threes is all the Heat need to get out of Crowder for his minutes to be valuable, but he's usually good for a few more peripherals than he put up tonight. For Miami's sake, hopefully the Crowder Regression storyline has ended for good.

Tyler Herro

Tyler Herro posted a team-worst minus-35 in Game 1 on Wednesday, ending with 14 points on 6-of-18 shooting, four rebounds and three assists.

Herro struggled shooting the ball and was targeted by LeBron James on the defensive end, leading to that ugly plus-minus stat. Herro started for an injured Goran Dragic in the second half, but there is only so much that can be asked of a rookie in the NBA Finals. With Dragic likely to miss more time, Herro will find himself as the team's primary ball handler going forward. His performance in the prior two series have been a great storyline, but he is now facing the biggest challenge of his young career by far.

Duncan Robinson

Duncan Robinson played 27 minutes and failed to score in Wednesday's Game 1 vs. the Lakers, ending with just four rebounds and nothing else.

Robinson has been on-and-off in these playoffs, and tonight he was most certainly off. He only took three shots from beyond-the-arc and missed them all. Luckily for the Heat he has rightfully built a reputation as a sharpshooter so the Lakers will still have to guard him as such. But when he can't get anything to fall, the Heat will struggle to open or sustain any kind of lead. Robinson will need to be more consistent if the Heat want to make this series competitive.

Kendrick Nunn

Kendrick Nunn went off in the second half of Game 1 on Wednesday, putting up 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting alongside five rebounds and two assists.

Nunn entered the game as the Heat were getting blown out and Goran Dragic had gone to the locker room with a foot injury. He was seemingly only on the court out of necessity but started hitting shots left and right. With Nunn's scoring the Heat cut the lead significantly but still ended up losing by close to 20 points. If Dragic misses more time, Nunn may get a big opportunity to prove himself in this series.

Bam Adebayo

Bam Adebayo (shoulder strain) is receiving intense treatment but intends to play in Game 2 on Friday.

Adebayo played just 21 minutes in Game 1 before leaving to the locker room with the shoulder injury. He had just eight points and four rebounds in that time, with his foul trouble and rough shooting night putting the Heat in a big deficit. Even though he struggled dealing with Anthony Davis tonight, the Heat have no shot at winning this series without him.
