Robert Covington was terrific again on Saturday night, picking up 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting with six rebounds, two assists, five 3-pointers and four steals in 36 minutes.
Unfortunately, Covington left the game with a little over a minute left after landing on a metal object in the stands. There’s no word on the severity of his back injury yet but hopefully it doesn’t keep him out long. Covington is crushing his ADP with top-20 returns to this point, though most of that is being carried by a career-high .440 mark from the field. He’s never even shot 40 percent in a full season, so this has been an incredible turnaround. Regression may be coming for him, so don’t expect this level of production all year long, but there’s nothing to keep Covington from top-50 output given his proclivity for threes, steals and blocks.
