Robin Lopez posted nine points, eight rebounds and a block in 23 minutes in Wednesday’s easy home win over the Nets.
This is the sort of low-end line Lopez was expected to produce all season (he also shot 2-of-4 and 5-of-6 from the line tonight) but he had serious trouble living up to last year’s standards. He was a top-150/130 play in terms of per-game output was a top-90 guy in both formats over the course of the full season. Playing in 80 games will do that for you. A very helpful real-life player, Lopez should be locked into a hearty role regardless of supporting cast. This seems like a decent floor, though that won’t assuage owners who wanted more out of the afro-clad center.
