Rodney McGruder said Wednesday he feels like himself and coach Erik Spoelstra expressed his trust in him.
McGruder, who missed 64 games last season, said he feels like himself again and won the team's conditioning test. He has always been a favorite of Spoelstra's, due to his hustle and work ethic, and Spoelstra expressed that trust. "I trust his ability to make winning plays, to have a real attention to detail on both ends of the court." McGruder started the first two games for the injured Dion Waiters and seems to have some role locked in. However, even in 78 games, and 65 starts, in 2016-17, he finished outside the top-200 overall. He makes a bigger impact on the floor than on fantasy teams.
