• According to Zach Lowe of ESPN, Coach Kenny Atkinson said that Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will start camp as the starting PF.

RHJ did play some small ball PF last year with success as he is ultra active on the defensive end yet also struggles with his outside shot shooting at 22% clip from distance. The Nets want to run again next season after leading the league in pace last year and want to put as many of their versatile young players on the floor so this move makes some sense. DeMarre Carroll will likely play some PF as well as Trevor Booker so Hollis-Jefferson will have some competition for minutes while also competing with Caris LeVert and Allen Crabbe at SF. Hopefully training camp will help us decide if RHJ is worthy of a late-round pick in next year’s drafts.
