• Royce O'Neale
    SF/PF, Utah Jazz

Royce O'Neale hit two threes for six points and added eight boards and an assist in Wednesday's loss in Portland.

As an unheralded rookie, O'Neale predictably didn't get much run off the bench early on. As the season progressed, he draw a few starts as other players missed games to injury, and was a bit of a revelation. He hustles, is a bundle of energy and what coach Snyder loves most, he's very decisive with the ball. He almost always instantly passes or drives and doesn't hold the rock, gumming up the already ill-spaced Utah offense. He was only top-320 on the season in 69 games, but had stretches of top-120 value when starting. He needs to work on his handles and shooting (and have a few vets leave the team) but Royce looks like a baller who should find a place in the league.
