Ricky Rubio played just 23 minutes and Andrew Wiggins played 21 minutes and Sam Mitchell was too angry at his starting unit to speak more than 30 seconds after Friday’s loss to the Bucks.
Mitchell lit into his starting unit for what he called a lack of effort, which was something that Rubio acknowledged and Wiggins disagreed with after the game. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what the Wolves do this offseason with serious ownership negotiations with a big new minority owner in Steve Kaplan, and the question of whether or not to retain Mitchell on the front burner. Wiggins finished with 10 points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal as his season continues to be mostly disappointing, and Rubio scored six points with seven assists, one steal, one block, one three and five turnovers in the loss.
