Rudy Gay led the Spurs with 21 points on Saturday night, delivering a full line with eight rebounds, a steal, two blocks and two triples on 8-of-17 shooting.
Gay kept the Spurs within striking distance in a first half that was torturous to watch for any fans of offense, and he came up with some timely buckets down the stretch. This may have been his final game as a member of the Spurs, and if so he should certainly be proud of the work he's put in after joining the team following a ruptured Achilles suffered in 2016-17. He's still got some turn-back-the-clock stretches in him.
