Rudy Gay joined the starting lineup for Monday's Game 2 against the Warriors and was able to produce 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block in 37 minutes.
It probably wasn't part of the plan for the Spurs to lean so heavily on Gay when they signed him, but he performed admirably tonight. The man he replaced in the starting five, Kyle Anderson, was limited to one point and two steals in just 10 minutes. While Gay's increased usage didn't help the team's offense in the first half, we'd bet on this look continuing for Game 3 at least.
