December 10, 2019, 9:43 pmRui HachimuraPF, Washington Wizards
Rui Hachimura grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds in addition to 18 points (7-of-16 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), two assists and a steal in 33 minutes against the Hornets on Tuesday.
Hachimura has stepped it up a bit lately, especially withThomas Bryant out. He's gone from a borderline standard league player to a mid-round guy over the last few weeks. He's got a few holes in his fantasy game, but his free throw percentage has been spectacular.
January 22, 2020, 10:05 pmChristian WoodPF, Detroit Pistons
Christian Wood shot a perfect 7-of-7 from the field and 9-of-11 from the line on his way to scoring 23 points with three rebounds and one steal in 25 minutes on Wednesday.
Thon Maker got the start with Andre Drummond (lip laceration) sitting out, but Wood was still able to get his minutes and posted an efficient fantasy line to give his owners big boosts in both percentages. Wood is likely to breakout if Andre Drummond gets traded and is worth a stash if you can afford it with the trade deadline two weeks away.
January 22, 2020, 10:03 pmLeBron JamesSF, Los Angeles Lakers
LeBron James swiped a season-best five steals on Wednesday to go along with his 21 points (9-of-16 shooting), six rebounds and five assists.
The assists finally slowed for The King, but he made up for it in spades on the defensive end. He's still a top-10 player over the halfway mark and there's no reason we can see this changing much.
January 22, 2020, 10:00 pmOG AnunobySF, Toronto Raptors
OG Anunoby was a near-non-factor for the Raptors on Wednesday, missing all three shot attempts from the field for zero points, two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 21 minutes.
OG probably stood for "Oh God, he sucks" as far as his owners were concerned. Serge Ibaka was a far superior option, despite coming off the bench as he was able to chip in 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting with two 3s, seven rebounds, two dimes and two steals. OG is down and can't get worse than he was tonight, so float a buy-very-low offer and take advantage of his owers' frustrations.
January 22, 2020, 9:58 pmDwight HowardC, Los Angeles Lakers
Dwight Howard turned 27 minutes off the bench into five points, 12 rebounds, a steal and three blocks on Wednesday
Howard saw more minutes than starter, JaVale McGee who was limited to 17 minutes of action and ended with six points and five rebounds. Howard continues to provide value on the boards even with Anthony Davis back in the lineup. Although this might not last as AD gets back to his regular minutes.
January 22, 2020, 9:57 pmReggie JacksonPG, Detroit Pistons
Reggie Jackson (lower back stress fracture) returned on Wednesday and scored 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting with four assists, two steals and three triples in 19 minutes off the bench.
Jackson was lights out in his return and is worth an add in 14-team leagues after this performance. Bruce Brown (illness) was out tonight so that helped Jackson's value, and this is a situation to watch closely over the next few games to see which of the Pistons' guards are getting the most minutes. Derrick Rose (22 points in 30 minutes on Wednesday) appears to be safe, but Bruce Brown and Svi Mykhailiuk (13 points in 29 minutes on Wednesday) could be impacted by Jackson's return.
January 22, 2020, 9:54 pmFred VanVleetPG, Toronto Raptors
Fred VanVleet came up big and knocked down key shot after shot to lead the Raptors to a 107-95 win over the Sixers on Wednesday, pacing his pack with 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting, including six 3-pointers, five rebounds, eight dimes and one steal.
FVV showed his clutch-mode in this one, stepping up when the Raptors needed him the most to take the lead away from Philly. He's come into his own and is a lock to finish as a top-30 asset (at least) in 8/9-cat this season.
January 22, 2020, 9:47 pmNikola VucevicC, Orlando Magic
Nikola Vucevic had a busy night in Wednesday's 120-114 loss to the Thunder, ending with 24 points (10-of-20 from the field), 11 rebounds, five assists, three steals, a block and three triples.
Vucevic continues to plot along at second-round value. He's consistency can let owners sleep easy whenever he takes the court. Big games like this will bump him closer to the top of the second-round as well.
January 22, 2020, 9:44 pmLangston GallowaySG, Detroit Pistons
Langston Galloway scored 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting to go with four steals and two triples in 29 minutes off the bench on Wednesday.
Galloway has played over 25 minutes in three straight games. He had 14 points with two threes two games prior and posted six points, five rebounds and four assists in his previous game. Galloway can be a dart throw for points and threes while he's hot, but he is a streaky player who will probably go cold soon and is better suited for 14-team leagues.
January 22, 2020, 9:42 pmMarkelle FultzPG, Orlando Magic
Markelle Fultz finished Wednesday's contest with 11 points, five boards and six assists.
Fultz looks poised to have a breakout in the second half of the season. His rebounds from the point guard position are a welcome gift to patient owners or those lucky enough to grab him off the wire. With D.J. Augustin out, he should see plenty of action. Evan Fournier had a solid night as well, collecting 12 point and six assists but with seven turnovers.
January 22, 2020, 9:38 pmTerrence RossSG, Orlando Magic
Terrence Ross came off the bench firing on Wednesday, putting up 26 points (8-16 FG, 5-11 3PT) and chipping in three rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Ross has taken advantage of Jonathan Isaac's injury and has been contributing plenty of points, threes, and steals recently. He even shot the ball well tonight, but that doesn't appear to be the norm.
