• Clint Capela
    C, Houston Rockets

While the Rockets’ initial offer to Capela was a four-year, $60M contract, the big man is looking for a 4-year, $100M deal.

Even though first-year owner Tilman Fertitta adamantly stated that the NBA's luxury tax is not influencing the Rockets' offseason decisions, Houston has already allowed two key contributors (Trevor Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute) to leave in free agency. Capela has been unhappy with the ongoing contract negotiations and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him take the qualifying offer and return to the market next year as an UFA.
