• Marc Gasol
    C, Memphis Grizzlies

Marc Stein of the New York Times is reporting that the Grizzlies may try to move Marc Gasol before the trade deadline instead of losing him during the upcoming free agency without compensation.

Gasol has a a $25.95 million player option in his contract and there is a growing belief around the league that he will indeed exercise that option. After an impressive start, the Grizzlies have been struggling lately and we wouldn’t be shocked to see Memphis move their franchise player, even though no deal is imminent. The sell-high window for Gasol is probably closed for now but the Spaniard has been playing through minor injuries and he is one of the few reliable centers around the league.
