Russell Westbrook finished with 37 points, 10 assists, 13 boards, two steals on 15-of-30 from the field, 2-of-9 from deep and 5-of-5 from the stripe in Monday’s 92-91 victory over the Mavs.
That makes eight triple-doubles in his past nine games. Westbrook is on pace to finish the season averaging a triple-double with 10.5 boards, 10.4 assists and has nine more games to go. The Thunder are 30-7 when Westbrook reaches a double-double and 11-24 when he doesn’t.
The former Bruin willed his team to victory in this one making up a 13 point deficit in the last 3:30 remaining in the game and putting in the game-winner.
