Russell Westbrook hit just 8-of-28 shots (2-of-8 3PTs, 6-of-9 FTs) for 24 points, four rebounds, six assists and one steal in Tuesday’s loss to the Pistons.
Without Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka around Westbrook got a little too loose and the Pistons were both desperate and also ready for Westbrook. Aside from a motivated Reggie Jackson, they had Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to chase him around the floor. Kyle Singler (six points, four boards) and Dion Waiters (four points, 1-of-8 FGs, five boards, two steals) didn’t do anything at all, and Enes Kanter got his double-double off the bench with 14 points, 14 boards, one three and that’s it.
