Russell Westbrook led the Rockets in scoring in their 111-117 loss to the Bucks on Thursday with 24 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers.
Westbrook went 7-for-17 from the floor and 7-for-11 from the line, highlighting all of the red flags coming into this year, but the counting stats were right where we want them to be. There'll be kinks to iron out, but the Rockets are playing at an incredible pace whenever Westbrook is on the floor and he's still making explosive plays around the rim. The rebounding is much-needed as the Rockets were one of the worst defensive rebounding teams in the league last year so it would be no surprise if he averaged double-digit boards this year.
