Russell Westbrook scored 20 points on 7-of-21 shooting with 12 rebounds, six assists, three steals and seven turnovers in Tuesday’s 86-94 loss to the Kings.
Westbrook has not had a stellar start to the season following his MVP campaign last year. His numbers are actually pretty similar to last year in all categories outside of points and free throw percentage. He has inexplicably been shooting around 60 percent from the line on the season after hovering well above the 80 percent mark his entire career. That should come around (he was 4-of-5 from the line tonight), which will also help his scoring come back up as well. He still should be an elite option for fantasy owners, and it couldn’t hurt to float a buy-low offer out if the Westbrook owner in your league is panicking.
