Russell Westbrook led the Thunder with a game-high 31 points on Thursday but it was not enough to stop the Nets from taking the win, 95-100.
He added eight rebounds, six assists and two threes tonight. The new-look Thunder started the season slow and are still going through a bunch of ups and downs. This is the case in most situations when you bring three capable scorers together and expect them to just “make things work.” Westbrook has seen a drastic dip in his free throw shooting percentage this season. He’s shooting just 71.6 percent compared to 81.9 percent in 2016-17. He made 9-of-12 shots from the line tonight but we expect him to bring up his success rate from the stripe little by little as the season goes on.
