Serge Ibaka was brutal in Wednesday’s loss to the Cavs, shooting 2-of-8 and finishing with six points, four rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes.
Besides the fantasy perspective, Ibaka’s miscues really hurt the Raptors tonight. He missed some open looks and a gimme or two at the rim and seemed a step slow on defense. The back-to-back didn’t help his cause at all but that’s a pretty weak excuse for a veteran guy who’s expected to bring it against marquee opponents. Ibaka’s tumbling down the fantasy ranks despite remaining a standard league asset, and on a lot of nights it’s clear why he’s losing minutes this season. Pascal Siakam was far more effective in his 26 minutes, scoring nine points with two rebounds, four assists, a block and a triple. The youngster remains just a deep league option for now.
