Shabazz Napier started on Friday in the Wizards' first game of the NBA restart and wound up with 13 points (4-of-13 FG, 1-of-5 3PT), three rebounds, three assists and a block in 27 minutes on the court.
Napier flirted with fantasy relevance all season with both the Wolves and the Wizards after they acquired him, as both squads battled injuries and inconsistency. With the Wizards missing a couple of guards and their primary playmakers (i.e. John Wall and Bradley Beal, along with Davis Bertans), guys like Ish Smith, Jerian Grant and Napier will be forced to pick up the slack at the ball-handling spots during the Wizards' seeding contests in Orlando. Napier's game is not conducive to fantasy stardom, that part has long been apparent.
