• Shabazz Napier
    PG, Portland Trail Blazers

Shabazz Napier scored nine points (one three) and added three assists in a win over the Jazz on Wednesday.

Napier spent last summer training at PFJ Performance and his activities included the infamous dune sprints at Manhattan Beach. He credits that for increasing his vertical by almost five inches and shaving 20 seconds off his sprint time. We tend to agree as Shabazz had the highest season ranking of his young career at just outside the top-200, though he had several stretches of top-60/70 play when filling in for Damian Lillard. Even though he gets some run in coach Stotts' three-guard lineups, he just doesn't get enough usage too really shine unless Lillard or C.J. McCollum are out. Still, unlike Evan Turner, he hits threes and can get steals (and assists) and can be useful when given the opportunity.
