Shake Milton to start vs. the Hornets on Friday

Shake Milton will start at shooting guard for the 76ers preseason matchup vs. the Hornets on Friday.

Embiid is getting the night off and the 76ers are sliding Tobias Harris down to the four to make room for Milton. He's played well this preseason and might have a chance to crack the rotation once the regular season starts. However, he'll need an injury to one of the 76ers starers to become fantasy relevant.

Kendrick Nunn

Kendrick Nunn went off in the second half of Game 1 on Wednesday, putting up 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting alongside five rebounds and two assists.

Nunn entered the game as the Heat were getting blown out and Goran Dragic had gone to the locker room with a foot injury. He was seemingly only on the court out of necessity but started hitting shots left and right. With Nunn's scoring the Heat cut the lead significantly but still ended up losing by close to 20 points. If Dragic misses more time, Nunn may get a big opportunity to prove himself in this series.

Bam Adebayo
C, Miami Heat

Bam Adebayo (shoulder strain) is receiving intense treatment but intends to play in Game 2 on Friday.

Adebayo played just 21 minutes in Game 1 before leaving to the locker room with the shoulder injury. He had just eight points and four rebounds in that time, with his foul trouble and rough shooting night putting the Heat in a big deficit. Even though he struggled dealing with Anthony Davis tonight, the Heat have no shot at winning this series without him.

Goran Dragic
PG, Miami Heat

Goran Dragic (foot) was diagnosed with a torn plantar fascia following Wednesday's game and his status for the rest of the NBA Finals is unclear at this time.

Dragic may allegedly be able to play through this kind of injury but it's certainly serious. Whether of not he's able to continue in this series may just be a question of pain tolerance, but unfortunately plantar fascia injuries can be incredibly painful. With how Dragic has been playing, most would begin writing obituaries for the Heat if he's ruled out for the rest of the series. He played just 14 minutes tonight and put up six points, one rebound, three assists and two steals in that time. The Heat should update his status soon and if he's ruled out the team will have to rely on Tyler Herro and Kendrick Nunn to fill his shoes.

Jimmy Butler
SG, Miami Heat

Jimmy Butler scored 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting along with two rebounds, five assists and two steals as the Heat lost 98-116 to the Lakers on Wednesday.

Butler looked great in the opening minutes and everything was looking swell as the Heat pulled out to an early lead. Then everything around Butler crumbled as both Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo left the game with injuries and didn't return. Seeing Butler's aggression in the first quarter was impressive, but there is only so much he can do alone. There has been a lot of talk about his supportive play style, but that all gets thrown out the window when his two co-stars aren't on the court. With Goran Dragic potentially done for the series, Butler will need to take on a lot of ball handling duties if the Heat hope to mount a comeback.

Dwight Howard
C, Los Angeles Lakers

Dwight Howard started for the second consecutive time, but only played 14 minutes as the Lakers quickly opted to go small in Game 1 on Wednesday.

Howard scored just two points while pulling down eight rebounds and producing two assists in his limited minutes. Despite all the talk about Howard's excellent performance in Game 5 vs. the Nuggets, Frank Vogel quickly swapped Anthony Davis to center tonight. It may have been a reaction to the Lakers' rough first quarter, but the move clearly worked well as they went on to blow out the Heat for the rest of the game. Howard should continue to soak up minutes while Davis rests, but it's unlikely he plays a large role in this series going forward.
