The Wolves have traded Jimmy Butler and Justin Patton to the Sixers for Robert Covington, Dario Saric, Jerryd Bayless and a 2022 second-round pick.
The Wolves passed on Houston's reported offer of four first-round picks, instead opting to get two quality young players instead. Patton is still sidelined by persistent foot issues while Bayless is unlikely to play much for the Wolves. Butler presents an imperfect fit, especially given the shooting that Philadelphia gave up in this trade, but the chance to assemble a Big 3 of Simmons, Embiid and Buler is tough to pass up, especially with both sides expected to agree on a new contract. Those three shouldn't see much fluctuation in their fantasy value, and any dips will be minor. Wilson Chandler could be in line for more work off the bench but has a lot of work to do before getting on the radar while fantasy owners can give up the ghost on Markelle Fultz. The official trade call is set for Monday.
