Yahoo's Shams Charania reported that Lakers' Lonzo Ball has a torn meniscus in his left knee but is expected to be ready to start the 2018-19 season.
Welp! That's not good news for Ball, who only played in 52 games as rookie largely due to knee pain. We reported on June 12 that Ball had a platelet-rich plasma shot to treat and strengthen his left knee and now comes the report of a torn meniscus. This won't help the Lakers attempt to move him in a trade or to open up cap space for LeBron James, Paul George or Kawhi Leonard, so they may be forced to involve other players like Brandon Ingram or Julius Randle in potential trades.
