Sixers managing partner Josh Harris says that the team remains engaged in a GM search but wouldn't rule out leaving the current structure in place.
When Bryan Colangelo stepped down Philly promoted head coach Brett Brown into the interim GM role where he's been assisted by Ned Cohen, Mark Eversley and Elton Brand. It's been a rough offseason for the Sixers in terms of free agency and personnel changes, and the GM role would ideally be filled by someone who can focus on the one job full-time once the season begins. One hopes that Brown is too busy coaching the Sixers to a high seed to worry about the trade deadline, for example. The Sixers have a very attractive setup and shouldn't have too much trouble finding a qualified candidate.
