Sixers’ owner Josh Harris was non-committal when asked about Brett Brown’s job status for next season.
When provided the chance to shed some light about how management viewed their coach’s long-term status, Harris was terse, offering little more than saying, “we have a lot of confidence in Brett and are glad that he is leading us in the playoffs and we are focused on that.” This came before the Sixers’ Game 1 loss against Brooklyn. It’s unclear how far the Sixers would need to go into the postseason to protect Brown’s status for next season, but it should be clear to anyone that a first round ouster to the Nets will undoubtedly result in Brown’s as well.
