Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy wants Jon Leuer to keep shooting despite his recent struggles.
Leuer is coming off an absolute dud of a performance last night with no points on eight attempts from the field. He’s seen his shooting percentage dip recently, particularly from the three point line- he’s clicking at just 29 percent from deep in his last 10, well below his career average of 34.8 percent. While this dip could also be the result of a career high in volume, expect some positive regression for Leuer. One of Detroit’s prized free agent acquisitions, Leuer has been a top-120 player in 9-cat and top-140 player in 8-cat leagues on a per-game basis. His shooting slump kept him outside the top 200 for February but he should bounce back in his steady role.
