Spencer Dinwiddie had another nice game off the bench on Saturday night, playing 31 minutes and hitting 4-of-7 shots to finish with 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, a steal, a block and two triples.
We told you not to panic when Dinwiddie was moved to the bench, and taking him a little bit out of the spotlight seems to have helped his ugly shooting slump. The Nets still expect him to do tons of heavy lifting and as long as the minutes are there he’ll remain a steady middle-round option. Make sure that you’re the one to benefit if someone else made a panic-drop. D’Angelo Russell scored 22 points with four rebounds, six assists and four triples in 29 minutes as a starter. It looks like the two will be able to coexist going forward, which bodes very well for Brooklyn next year.
