Spencer Dinwiddie’s trainer, Olin Simplis, confirmed to Ian Begley of SNY that the 26-year-old is working a lot on his offense this offseason.
Besides shooting 3-pointers, Dinwiddie is apparently trying to play through contact and improve his finishing at the rim. Entering his fourth season with the Nets and his sixth overall in the NBA after being selected in the second round of the 2014 draft by the Pistons, it’s good to see the charismatic guard working on expanding his game. He averaged 16.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game in 68 appearances for the Nets last season and it’s likely that his numbers remain the same even after the arrival of Kyrie Irving.
