One of the hardest workers on the team, Rodney McGruder will be relentless this summer in trying to evolve his game inside the Miami Heat facility.
The 25 year old rookie was waived by two NBA teams and a D-League team before the Heat took a chance on him. He played more games than anyone on the team and provided a boost when Justice Winslow went down. He has been much more impressive for his defense than his fantasy numbers, often guarding the best player on the opposing team. McGruder averaged 6.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.6 steals and 0.9 triples in 25.2 minutes. If he can become a knock-down three point shooter like Spoelstra hopes, he might have some deep league value next season.
