• Derrick White
    PG, San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs have reportedly picked up their 2020/21 rookie scale team options on guards Derrick White and Lonnie Walker.

White enjoyed a modest breakout season for the Spurs in 2018-19, averaging 9.9 points, 3.9 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game in 55 starts. He is expected to compete with Dejounte Murray for the starting point guard role. Walker, the No. 18 overall pick in the 2018 draft meanwhile, was limited to just 17 games in his rookie season due in part to a knee injury that sidelined him to start the year. The former Miami standout had an impressive Summer League this July, averaging 24.8 points on 55 percent shooting in four games as he began to make his case for a regular rotation role in 2019-20.
