The Spurs organization as a whole have nothing but good things to say about point guard Patty Mills and his recent performance.
“Everybody wants somebody good coming off the bench, and he’s our guy,” said Coach Popovich. “His ability to score and his energy are real important to us.” Mills has been filling in for the injured Tony Parker and showed in Friday’s game against the Jazz that he’s up for the challenge. Mills scored 16 points in 30 minutes with three assists and only one turnover which helped take some of the offensive load off the shoulders of Leonard and Aldridge. Mills should continue to see ample playing time in Parker’s absence and his fantasy value may even extend past the point of Parker’s return. He makes for a nice short-term add or even a speculative long-term add.
