The San Antonio Spurs will target Mike Conley during free agency this summer.
What happen to the old Spurs developing international talent? To keep up with the Big 3’s and superstar rich teams throughout the league, the Spurs are looking to continue as perennial contenders and signing Mike Conley could help that. Tony Parker is signed for the next two seasons at close to $15 million each year, so there is no doubt that he will return. However, it was evident throughout the series with the Thunder that the Spurs need some youth in the backcourt. The Spurs have already been linked the Kevin Durant, and we might see a complete upheaval of the roster with question marks surrounding the retirement of Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobli and the free agency (player option) of David West.
