Stanley Johnson (left ankle contusion), traded twice, failed to make the leap to the next level once again this season, finishing in the 275 range on a per-game basis.
Johnson’s per-36 numbers would definitely be usable (14.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.7 steals, 1.6 threes on the Pelicans), but he was only able to get on the court for 20 mpg in Detroit and less than 14 mpg in New Orleans (Johnson did not play during his brief stint in Milwaukee). Depending on what the Pelicans do this summer, Johnson could be a free agent. There’s still hope that he could be a useful rotation player in the right situation as he enters his age-23 season.
