Marc Stein reported that the Warriors, "Continue to insist that they will not be pursuing Dwight Howard in free agency despite persistent rumblings to the contrary."
Howard proved last year that he still has a lot left in the tank as he up 16.6 points and 12.5 rebounds, missing only one game all season. However, his game doesn't translate well into the Warriors style of play and he may not be ready to accept a 10-15 minute JaVale McGee type role. Even if he was, Anthony Slater tweeted on June 21 about the Warriors going public with "Their plan [is to] go young, hungry and smaller (more wings, fewer vet bigs)." It will be interesting to see where Howard ends up and his buyout with the Nets won't be official until July 6.
