Appearing on the Dan Patrick Show, Marc Stein of the New York Times said that the Warriors will look to trade D'Angelo Russell.
More exactly, "They will trade him. It's just a matter of when." Russell does not fit with the Warriors at all — a defensive tandem of D'Lo and Steph Curry would be brutal, Russell cannot play the three when Klay Thompson returns from his torn ACL and his four-year, $117 million deal means he isn't coming off the bench. The Warriors seemed intent on getting something in exchange for Kevin Durant, and now they'll likely look to flip Russell for additional assets. The Wolves and Lakers were also interested in Russell prior to last night's surprising trade.
