Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 29 points in Thursday's 124-114 win, hitting 11-of-23 from the field with six rebounds, nine assists, one steal and five 3-pointers.
Curry kept the lethargic Warriors in it in the first half, nailing a deep triple to knot things up at the half after a pathetic flail from J.R. Smith. It was an embarrassing gaffe from J.R., who definitely didn't top it later. And then definitely didn't double down on it after the game despite comments from his coach and video evidence to the contrary. Anyway, Curry had another great game and looks to be hitting his peak at the perfect time for the Warriors, who used an improbable sequence to survive regulation before pushing their lead to its greatest heights in overtime. The Warriors were simply able to outlast the Cavs tonight despite Cleveland employing a fairly strong gameplan overall. The Warriors will be looking to head to Cleveland with a two-game series lead after Sunday night.
