Steve Clifford declined to say how his point guard rotation will shake out, only that they'll be searching for balanced groups and that D.J. Augustin and Jerian Grant will share the court occasionally.
It's expected that Augustin will hold onto his starting gig from last year, particularly if the Magic want to keep the floor somewhat spaced. Grant's size is intriguing from a defensive perspective, and Clifford said that the two can share the floor because, "You want groups that can play well both offensively and defensively." Whoever starts would be a late-round option with Grant offering more in terms of assists and steals and Augustin a better bet for points and threes. Be wary of a timeshare, or a surprising showing from Isaiah Briscoe in preseason.
