Steven Adams scored 16 points (5-for-8 FGs, 6-for-9 FTs) with 12 boards and two blocks, while Serge Ibaka scored 11 points (5-for-11 FGs) with 11 boards, one assist and one block in the Thunder’s 108-102 win over the Warriors on Monday night.
The big men for the Thunder keep showing up. Enes Kanter put up solid numbers with eight points, six boards, one steal and one block in 18 minutes. Coach Donovan shocked the Spurs in the conference semifinals by using an Adams and Kanter combo down the stretch late in games. Tonight, Donovan didn’t play chess with Kerr’s small-ball lineups and stayed true to his team philosophy. The Thunder dominated the boards 52-44 over the Warriors. Game 2 is on Wednesday night at Golden State.
