Steven Adams scored 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting along with eight rebounds, one assist, one block and two turnovers in the Thunder’s loss to the Wolves on Friday night.
Adams won’t see many scoring nights like this but a large benefit to playing alongside shooters like Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony is that Adams is an excellent offensive rebounder and can clean up their occasional mess. Six of Adams’ eight rebounds were on the offensive glass on Friday night. He’s also shooting an excellent 70 percent to kick off the year and may not slow down while his main job is manning the boards and getting putbacks.
