Steven Adams blocked four shots and grabbed six rebounds in addition to his 16 points against the Nuggets on Saturday.
The Thunder gave Adams a nice new contract at the beginning of the season, and the 23-year-old big man has helped filled the void left by former teammates Serge Ibaka and Kevin Durant. For the year, Adams is averaging a career-high 12.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game while maintaining his stellar field goal percentage and patrolling the paint on defense. While his 1.1 blocks per game average doesn’t jump off the page, Adams is one of the rare big men that get you over a steal per game too, making him quietly a near top-50 value so far this season in 8-cat leagues.
